Greetings from Anita Brennan,  artist and owner of Anita’s Whimsy in Stuart, Florida. I have a lifelong appreciation for all things of the sea, and a passion for colorful art.  Spending time at the ocean has always been a joyful part of my life. As an adult, my career took me to Tucson, Arizona, where, over the course of 25 years, I immersed myself in the corporate world of global marketing.  While in Tucson, I fell in love with the rich colors of the Southwest and was further inspired by local artist Diana Madaras and her use of saturated color.
I retired to the Treasure Coast of Southeast Florida so I could spend more time with my young grandsons.  Gathering natural elements from the beach with the “littles” led us to creating turtle art. I soon was immersed in creating mini art using shells, sea glass, and driftwood. Giving the finished art away as gifts to friends and family led to a commissioned order of 50 ceramic holiday ornaments and Anita’s Whimsy was officially born!
In addition to designing customized pieces, my whimsical and coastal art is currently sold at local craft shows, such as Jammin’ Jensen and Hobe Sound Farmers Market. You can also find my work displayed in local gift shops from West Palm Beach to Port St. Lucie, including Crafty Crane Cottage in Palm City. All the art you see on this site can be individualized by request; be it your favorite sport, furry friend or coastal image.   
It’s all about creating whimsical and coastal art that brings as much joy to my clients as it does to me!
